How to connect Facebook, Twitter or Bing Data with Google Data Studio

Google Data Studio lets you build great-looking, interactive dashboards that you can share in a similar manner as Google Drive files (see for example this web analytics dashboard).

Officially, it only allows to connect data sources like these:

  • Google Analytics
  • Google AdWords
  • Google Sheets
  • Google BigQuery
  • CSV files
  • SQL databases (coming soon)
  • many more coming…

What if we would like to connect data from Facebook, Twitter, Bing and other souces?

Mikael Thuneberg, Google Analytics Certified Partner described pretty simple solution to this in the following article:

In summary, Google allows to connect Google Sheets as data sources so if we connect data sources from Facebook, Bing or Twitter to Google Sheets (eg. via Supermetrics) then we can import this data to Google Data Studio.
