A unique retro atmosphere, commitment to release quality, and a strong gaming community are what set GOG apart from the competition.
Collaboration
11/2025 – 02/2026
When we started working together, the key goal was to determine whether – through campaign optimization and creative testing – we could bring the cost of acquiring a new user below $4. After 4 months, the client wanted a clear, data-driven answer: does the US market have potential, and what are the realistic costs of scaling activity?
A challenge proved to be matching the visual aesthetic to GOG’s unique brand style. The retro gaming world of the 90s and early 2000s required the creative team to immerse themselves quickly in gaming culture and establish the right standards. The process was time-consuming, but ultimately resulted in creatives that gained the client’s approval and became a solid foundation for further optimization.
Challenges
The challenge was developing a visual style consistent with GOG’s unique character and the atmosphere of 90s and early-2000s games. It required deep immersion in the gaming world and several creative iterations before standards fully accepted by the client were established.
One of the main goals was bringing the cost per new user acquisition below $4. This required intensive campaign optimization, creative testing, and precise targeting.
